Welcome

The Technology and Construction Solicitors' Association ("TeCSA") was established as the ORSA in 1990 to promote the interests of solicitors and their clients involved in litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, which involves construction, engineering, technology and IT disputes. TeCSA currently has over 250 members. For more information, see our brochure.

TeCSA has been actively involved in lobbying Ministers, Members of Parliament, Government departments, the TCC judges and other relevant organisations on a variety of important matters, including most recently, the possible amendments to the Housing Grants Act, and the use of the TCC pre-action protocol. TeCSA is also regularly consulted by these bodies for its views on topical issues.

One of TeCSA's principal objectives is to encourage higher standards and greater efficiency in the conduct of litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, arbitration, adjudication and ADR. For this purpose, TeCSA has developed its own Protocols designed to aid efficient dispute resolution.

The criteria for membership are shown in the TeCSA Rules, but are broadly that you are a solicitor eligible to hold a current Practising Certificate and that you have experience of handling technology or construction cases in the Technology and Construction Court or comparable arbitration. Membership for 2009 is £50 per member. If you wish to apply for membership, please download, complete and return the membership application form.

Associate membership is available for those from other jurisdictions. For further information, please contact the membership secretary.
