Technology and construction disputes almost invariably require the use of expert witnesses on a wide range of subjects including programming/planning, defect problems and quantum issues.

TeCSA aims to keep its members on top of developments in this important area and to provide a valuable and respected mouthpiece for their views on possible improvements to existing practice.

Indeed, it was TeCSA that pioneered the use of an Expert Witness Protocol governing all aspects of the instruction of experts and provision of their evidence which was ultimately superseded by the Civil Justice Council’s Protocol which is applicable to all kinds of litigation.

TeCSA continues to play an active part in this area, most recently conducting an in-depth survey of members into experience of the use of single joint experts in construction disputes.
